Depression may be described as feeling sad, blue, unhappy, miserable, or down in the dumps. Most of us feel this way at one time or another for short periods. Depression is most likely to occur in a typical office situation where there is a lot of work pressure on employees. 1. Improve your working conditions

Working conditions in your office does impact your state of mind. A lousy workplace can be easily improved in an inexpensive way by initiating small changes and by keeping a clean desk. The most miserable working conditions can be improved in many ways such as putting a nice plant in the cubicle, hanging or framing personal photos etc.

3. Consumption of adequate water

Despite knowing the fact that water is the most important part of our diet, many do not have the habit of drinking adequate amount of water throughout the day. Water flushes out toxins and other impurities from the body. Nearly 85 percent of brain tissue is water and depression is said to be related to our diet and body's functions. Apart from drinking plenty of water and maintaining a healthy diet, one should also avoid too much coffee during the work. Water is the best tool to maintain the ideal fluid level in the body.

4. Make a schedule and stick to it

In order to maintain a systematic work order, one should maintain a handy-dandy schedule and it will help in keeping depression away. One should maintain a work calendar and start nailing down the deadlines. By breaking down the goals or tasks into manageable bites, one can feel stress less and produce more.

Spending too much time in the dark room or in front of the computer screen is likely to cause depression. One should go out in the sun to be happy as vitamin D produced by the sun helps our body produce a chemical that makes us feel joyous and happy. To get enough sun at work, one can opt having lunch outside, take mobile phone calls outside in the sun or walk to work or to the bus stop .One should also be careful about the harmful UV rays as too much of it can damage your skin and cause skin cancer.
